Subdividing is the process of dividing a single piece of land into two or more parcels. This can be a complex process, as it involves many agencies within the province. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) and the Provincial Approving Officer review proposed subdivisions to ensure applications follow:
- Provincial regulations
- local government bylaws
- the public’s best interest
