The Regional District Board of Directors establishes different types of committees to support its work:
Standing committees are established by the Chair of the Board and they operate until they meet their mandate or the Chair terminates them. They hold open public meetings scheduled in conjunction with the monthly Regional Board meetings and they make written recommendations to the Board through the Committee Chair.
Climate Action Mitigation and Adaption Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of eight members with three electoral area directors and three municipal directors.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Lara Beckett, Director Cori Ramsay, Director Gene Runtz and Director Owen Torgerson.
Reconciliation Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of eight members with three electoral area directors and a minimum of one municipal director from each muncipality.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Lara Beckett, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Jerrilyn Kirk, Director Cori Ramsay, Director Gene Runtz and Director Owen Torgerson.
9-1-1 Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of eight members with three electoral area directors and a minimum of one municipal director from each muncipality.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Bill Empey, Director Jerrilyn Kirk, Director Victor Mobley, Director Cori Ramsay, Director Kyle Sampson and Director Owen Torgerson.
Environment and Parks Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of eight members with three electoral area directors and a minimum of one municipal director from each muncipality.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Lara Beckett, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Bill Empey, Director Cori Ramsay, Director Brian Skakun and Director Owen Torgerson.
Agriculture Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of eight members with three electoral area directors and three municipal directors.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Lara Beckett, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Victor Mobley, Director Gene Runtz, Director Owen Torgerson and Director Simon Yu.
Public Safety and Emergency Management Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of 10 members with seven electoral area directors and one director from Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Lara Beckett, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Bill Empey, Director Art Kaehn, Director Jerrilyn Kirk, Director Victor Mobley, Director Gene Runtz, and Director Owen Torgerson.
Sub-Regional Services Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of 10 members with seven electoral area directors and one director from Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Joan Atkinson, Director Lara Beckett, Director Kevin Dunphy, Director Bill Empey, Director Art Kaehn, Director Jerrilyn Kirk, Director Victor Mobley, Director Gene Runtz, and Director Owen Torgerson.
Robson-Canoe Valley Shared Services Standing Committee
The committee can have a maximum of three members from Electoral Area H (Robson Valley-Canoe), McBride and Valemount.
The 2025 members are Director Dannielle Alan, Director Gene Runtz and Director Owen Torgerson.
Select committees are established by the Board to investigate a specific matter and they automatically dissolve once the task is completed. They hold open public meetings that are scheduled by the Committee Chair and they make written recommendations to the Board through the Committee Chair. Committee members are appointed by the Board and at least one Director serves on the committee.

Community consultation committees
Community consultation committees are established by the Board to advise and make recommendations on local services like:
- fire protection
- rescue services
- community sewer and water systems
- community halls
- other services funded at the local level
Members are appointed by Board and they must be residents of the service area the committee is established to serve. The committees provide advice and recommendations on budget, capital purchases and projects. Various committees are established in each Electoral Area:
