Committees and Commissions

The Regional District Board of Directors establishes different types of committees to support its work:

Community consultation committees

Community consultation committees are established by the Board to advise and make recommendations on local services like: 

  • fire protection and rescue services
  • community sewer and water systems
  • recreation centres and community halls

Members are appointed by the Board of Directors and they must be residents of the service area. The committees provide advice and recommendations on budgets, capital purchases and projects. Various committees are established in each electoral area:
