The park trails are open year round and they are groomed for cross country skiing in the winter. There are also viewpoints overlooking the Morfee Lakes and a children's playground area.

The park is named after prominent Mackenzie resident John Dahl and the trails are named after Barb Dahl, a driving force in the community's sports and education, and Scouts leader Dick Dauphinee.

The park is maintained and operated by the District of Mackenzie.
