Strategic Priorities

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has new strategic priorities for 2024 to 2028 that focus on the pillars of:

  • Indigenous and Intergovernmental Partnerships 
  • Organizational Strength and Adaptability
  • Quality Service Delivery
  • Awareness and Engagement
  • Environmental Stewardship and Climate Action

The document also sets out the mission, vision, organization principles, and leadership for the organization. It provides overall direction for the Regional District and shapes the organization’s approach to planning, projects and providing services.

Community and Recreation Grants

The Board of Directors approved requests for Community Grants in Aid and Recreation Grants in Aid to: 

Electoral Area A (Salmon Valley-Lakes)

  • Ness Lake Recreation Commission for $860 for sprinkler maintenance
  • Nukko Lake Recreation Commission for $5,000 for operating expenses

Electoral Area G (Crooked River-Parsnip)

  • Bear Lake Recreation Association for $8,187 for a floor cleaner
  • Bear Lake Recreation Association for $2,000 for volunteer appreciation 
  • McLeod's Lake Centennial Club for $595 for insurance
  • McLeod's Lake Centennial Club for $4,500 for operating expenses
  • McLeod's Lake Post Historical Society for $595 for insurance
  • Summit Lake Community Association for $1,800 for sprinklers
