Regional District 2026 budget
The Regional District Board of Directors adopted the 2026 to 2030 Financial Plan. The budgets for all 93 of the Regional District's services were considered during Committee of the Whole meetings in January and February 2026.
Regional Hospital District 2026 budget
The Fraser-Fort George Regional Hospital District Board of Directors approved its 2026 Operating Budget which increased 2.45% from 2025. The 2026 tax requisition will be $23,978,965. The residential uniform tax rate is estimated to be $71.99 per $100,000 of residential assessment values based on BC Assessment's residential property values from the completed assessment roll.
Grants awarded
Community Grants in Aid and Recreation Grants in Aid were awarded to:
Electoral Area C (Chilako River-Nechako)
- Bednesti Berman Community Association for $2,557 for an AED replacement
Electoral Area D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek)
- Pineview Recreation Commission for $9,000 for operating costs and $9,500 for repairs
Electoral Area G (Crooked River-Parsnip)
- Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce for $5,000 for Mackenzie's 60th celebration event
Electoral Area H (Robson Valley-Canoe)
- Backcountry Horsemen of British Columbia, Robson Valley for $8,000 for fundraising and trail maintenance
- Fraser Headwaters Alliance for $5,000 for trail repairs
- Lucille Mintz Memorial Foundation for $1,743 for ice and insurance fees
- McBride Curling Club for $2,768 for insurance
- Wishbone Theatre for $2,000 for venue rentals
