Amendment to the Regional Board Procedure Bylaw
The Regional Board Procedure Bylaw No. 3267 was amended to require votes in opposition to motions be recorded in meeting minutes except when Directors request their vote not be recorded. This amendment will apply to the Regional Board, Hospital District Board, Committee and Commission meetings.
Developing a second cell at Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill
The Board received an update on the plans to develop a second cell at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill. The current cell at the site that receives municipal solid waste is near the end of its life and a new cell is needed. The first half of the second cell is expected to be ready for use by late 2027 and the estimated construction cost is $15.665 million.
Community Works Funding for Robson Valley Recreation Centre
The Robson Valley Recreation Centre will receive up to $280,000 from the Community Works Fund for exterior repairs. The facility is located in McBride and features an ice surface, exercise equipment, convert-a-court and curling rink. The repairs scheduled for 2025 include replacing the faciltiy's windows and doors and the plant building's roof.

The Board approved requests for Community Grants in Aid and Recreation Grants in Aid to:
Electoral Area A (Salmon River-Lakes)
- Nukko Lake Recreation Commission for $672 for tables
- Pilot Mountain Fire Fighter Club for $3,000 for a volunteer appreciation dinner
- Pilot Mountain Recreation Commission for $2,500 for insurance and operating expenses
Electoral Area C (Chilako River-Nechako)
- Beaverly Community Association for $15,000 for skating rink upgrades
- Dusty Trail Riders for $14,830 for building and grounds upgrades
- Beaverly Community Association for $2,000 for fireworks
Electoral Area D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek)
- Pineview Recreation Commission for $2,000 for rink updates
Electoral Area F (Willow River-Upper Fraser Valley)
- Sinclair Mills Education and Recreation Club for $4,500 for insurance and operating expenses
Electoral Area G (Crooked River River-Parsnip)
- Bear Lake Recreation Association for $3,000 for an AED machine
- Summit Lake Community Association for $4,900 for a water and sewer engineering study
