As CUPE 1699's job action continues, Cummings Road Regional Transfer Station and Shelley Regional Transfer Station operating schedules will change to Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm effective Saturday November 1.
The Regional District is working hard to keep facilities open for residents during job action and provide consistent services. These transfer stations will now operate on the same days Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill is open under a BC Labour Relations Board Essential Service Order as the sites' waste needs to be frequently hauled to the landfill.
These transfer stations may be impacted if job action escalates further and their reduced operating hours will be available on the Regional District website.
