Reception Centres

The Province of Alberta is currently directing all Jasper evacuees to two reception centres:

Grande Prairie Reception Centre

  • Bonnets Energy Centre, 10017 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB
  • Open at 9 am on Tuesday, July 23
  • Driving route: take Highway 16 west to Prince George, proceed north via Highway 97, then south on Highway 2 and east to Grande Prairie via Highway 43

Calgary Reception Centre 

  • Shouldice Athletic Park, 1515 Home Road NW, Calgary AB 
  • Open at 11 am on Tuesday, July 23
  • Driving route: take Highway 5 south to Kamloops, then east on Highway 1 to Calgary

Bus transportation 

Evacuees in Valemount, BC

On July 23 at 1 pm PST, four buses will depart from Valemount for Calgary (up to 45 passengers per bus):

  • two buses are leaving from 1245 1st Avenue and two buses are leaving from at 101 Gorse Street
  • final drop off is the Calgary Reception Centre with a stop in Kamloops at a reception centre

     

Evacuees in Prince George, BC

Three buses will depart from Prince George for Grande Prairie (up to 45 passengers per bus):

  • on July 23 at 4:00 pm PST, one bus will depart Prince George for Grande Prairie, and on July 24 at 10:00 am PST, two buses will depart Prince George for Grande Prairie
  • all buses are departing from 4248 18th Ave, Prince George
  • drop off is the Grande Prairie Reception Centre
