Statement from Lara Beckett, Chair of the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George
Jim Martin, Chief Administrative Officer has advised the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Board of Directors that he will be retiring at the end of 2023.
Mr. Martin has been with the Regional District since 1994 when he joined the newly-formed Environmental Services Department to support the implementation of the newly created Regional Solid Waste Management Plan. He has been in the CAO role since 2007.
Jim’s leadership and contributions have left an indelible mark on the Regional District. His dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment have guided this organization’s growth and change. He has navigated us through challenging times and been a calm steady presence in supporting the Board and staff at the Regional District. His leadership will be greatly missed, but the impact he’s made will resonate for years to come.
The Board will begin the process of searching for a new CAO this fall.
