Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George that a General Local Election will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026 to elect four Commissioners for the Bear Lake Local Community Commission.
Nominations will be received by the Chief Election Officer or Deputy Chief Election Officers from Tuesday September 1, 2026 at 9 am until Friday September 11, 2026 at 4 pm by:

Information on the requirements and procedures for making nominations, including nomination forms, is available from Monday July 27, 2026 until Friday September 11, 2026 at rdffg.ca/Election or in-person:
- Regional District at 155 George Street, Prince George BC from Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, excluding statutory holidays
- Bear Lake Community Commission at 353 Grizzly Avenue, Bear Lake BC on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 am to 1 pm
Campaign period expense limits
In accordance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, for the 2026 general local elections, the candidate expense limit is $6,161.89 for Local Community Commissioners during the campaign period.
Third party advertising expense limits
In accordance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, for the 2026 general local elections, the third party advertising expense limit is $924.28 for Local Community Commissioners.
