The annual McBride Recycling Round Up is on Saturday October 3 from 10 am to 1 pm at Steve Kolida Village Park and Playground, located at Main Street and 2nd Avenue.
This year, Product Care Recycling is returning to the event and will be accepting paint and pesticide products. As always, tire recycling space is limited and tires will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Accepted items
- paint and paint aerosols
- domestic pesticides, solvents, gasoline and flammable/pesticide aerosols
- lighting and light fixtures (lightbulbs, lamps and CFLs)
- smoke alarms
- household batteries
- tires (residential car and truck tires)
- electronics (televisions and computers)
- small appliances, power tools and exercise equipment
- outdoor electrical power equipment (no fuel-powered equipment)
The Regional District hosts this event in partnership with the Village of McBride and the stewardship organizations Call 2 Recycle, EPRA, Outdoor Power Equipment Institute of Canada, Product Care Recycling, Return-It and TireStewardship of BC that operate as part of BC's Extended Producer Responsibility program, where producers fund and manage the collection and recycling of their products at the end of their useful life.
