Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill and four Prince George-area transfer stations will be closed on Tuesday September 29 and Wednesday September 30 due to construction.
Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill is getting a new scale house and office trailer, and the site needs to be closed during the installation. As result of the landfill closure, the following transfer stations will also need to be closed on the same days:
- Buckhorn Regional Transfer Station
- Chief Lake Regional Transfer Station
- Shelley Regional Transfer Station
- Vanway Regional Transfer Station
The timing of the project closes the sites for only one business day. The landfill and four transfer stations will return to their regular operating schedules on Thursday October 1 after the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
