Spring and summer activities

During the spring and summer there are activities on the arena floor like pickleball, basketball, ball hockey, rollerblading, cornhole and bowling. The Exercise Room also has free weights and weight machines, and there is cardio equipment located in the recreation centre.

Arena activities and the Exercise Room are available everyday from 6 am to 9 pm. There are also scheduled events throughout the week:

Monday 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, Adult Drop-in Pickle Ball
Wednesday 8 am to 10 am, Adult Drop-in Pickle Ball
Thursday 10:30 am to 11:15 am and 3 pm to 8 pm, Gymnastics Club
Friday 8 am to 10 am, Adult Drop-in Pickle Ball
Saturday 10:30 am to 11:15 am and 3 pm to 6 pm, Gymnastics Club

- one ice surface and arena surface drop-in visit per day
- one hour Convert-a-court rental
memberships are assigned to individuals for their sole use

Ice surface

During the fall and winter the ice surface is available for hockey, figure skating and public skating.

Facility rentals

You can rent the Canoe Valley Recreation Centre for special events.

All rentals must have event insurance with a minimum $3,000,000 Commercial General Liability (more may be required depending on the type of event). Contact your local insurance agent or visit the Municipal Insurance Association of BC for more information on event insurance.
If you are serving food, visit Northern Health for guidelines and regulations.
If you are serving alcohol, visit the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch for permit information.
