Regional District representative appointed to Prince George Public Library Board

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has appointed electoral area resident Louise Hanson (Levy) for a two-year term as a trustee on the Prince George Public Library Board. 

This is the first Regional District representative on the public library board since the Prince George Public Library and the City of Prince George moved to add two trustees from the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation and the Regional District. The Regional District representative must be a resident of one of the following electoral areas:

  • Electoral Area A (Salmon River-Lakes)
  • Electoral Area C (Chilako River-Nechako)
  • Electoral Area D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek)
  • Electoral Area E (Woodpecker-Hixon)
  • Electoral Area F (Willow River-Upper Fraser Valley)
  • Electoral Area G (Crooked River-Parsnip), south of McLeod Lake

The library board is a governance board that operates under the authority of the Library Act of British Columbia. The volunteer library trustees establish the policies, goals and objectives of the library and advocate for the library in the greater community.
