News Releases

CUPE 1699, which represents employees at the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, served the Regional District with 72 hours strike notice on Wednesday October 15 at 12 pm.

The collective bargaining process has been challenging and the Regional District is hopeful to find a resolution to this dispute with CUPE that balances our responsibility to taxpayers and providing a fair deal to our employees.

The Regional District is committed to finding a solution and attempted to return to mediation. Unfortunately, this request for mediation was rejected by CUPE.

This is an evolving situation and updates on service impacts to residents will be posted on rdffg.ca as soon as they are available.
