Students from the University of Northern BC are looking to understand how climate change and hazards like wildfires, smoke, flooding, landslides and drought affect resident in Electoral Area H (Robson Valley-Canoe).
Survey and open houses
Area residents had the opportunity to share their thoughts on these issues through a survey and two open house events in March and April 2026.
These activities are part of an ongoing partnership between the Regional District and UNBC to provide students with hands on learning in the Regional District’s land use planning processes. The insights compiled by UNBC students through this process will be considered in the upcoming Electoral Area H Official Community Plan update.
