Update on service impacts from CUPE 1699 job action

On Sunday October 19, Regional District of Fraser-Fort George sites are open and following their regular operating schedules.

As part of the job action initiated by CUPE 1699, the Union notified the Regional District at 8:55 am that as of 9 am, their members will not collect fees at some Regional District sites today.

For residents, this means there are:

• no fees for small loads of household garbage at Mackenzie Select Waste Landfill and Transfer Station and Valemount Regional Transfer Station
• no fees for drop-in activities at Robson Valley Recreation Centre and Canoe Valley Recreation Centre
