Asbestos disposal permits will not be processed June 27 to July 12
Controlled waste requires special handling and it can only be received at Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill.

- biosolids (waste sludge from municipal treatment facilities)
- condemned foods
- contaminated soils
- international waste

Approval needed before disposal
- creosote treated wood
- sterilized biomedical waste (received from certified sterilization facilities)
- sterilized sharps (received from certified sterilization facilities)
- wood ash from industrial operations
Time restrictions on disposal
- bulky waste over 1.5 m3 and 2.5 m long must be deposited at least one hour before the landfill closes
- dead animals must be deposited at least three hours before the landfill closes
- food processing waste must be deposited at least one hour before the landfill closes
